Hi Club Members,I am just putting a call out for volunteers to help out with Meitheal Mara's Bádóireacht youth programme. It is a great way to boost your own rowing abilities while also passing on the love of currach rowing to a younger generation. I mean look how much fun the volunteer in this photo is having! Tuesday 12th July is Tony’s anniversary and Meitheal Mara is organising a row in his memory. If you’d like to join in, please be at the slip at Shandon boat club for 6pm on Tuesday to row up to Lapp’s Quay. There may be some people who would like to join from the land, and Lapp’s Quay was one of Tony’s regular haunts. We’re aiming to be there by 7pm and have a joint land and sea salute to his spirit.
