Due to adverse weather conditions there will be no rowing this weekend. Apologies for late notice but we were hoping weather would moderate sufficiently to facilitate a row

The Skibb HOR scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to forecast winds. The proposed NC row at PP is cancelled for the same reason but we have reinstated our normal Saturday row from SBC SUBJECT TO WEATHER.

You may now be aware that the new site has been fenced. However there are still works to be done make it safe including the erection if a railing along the quay. Until the site has been made safe we would request that club members NOT access the site until further notice. Thank you NC committee

Thank you to all the experienced rowers who responded to our request for support for the public row today. We managed to get 34 people on the water including some people new to currachs and had a very enjoyable row. It would not have been possible without your support. It's what makes Naomhoga Chorcai such a special club.

A number of experienced rowers are travelling to Clare for a regatta on Saturday. If you are an experienced captain or stroke and not travelling to Clare and are in a position to do so your attendance at the public row on Saturday would be greatly appreciated.

The current wind forecast for Saturday 01.04.2023 is at the margins of our safety threshold and public rowing is unlikely to go ahead. We will review conditions tomorrow morning to decide if a members row can go ahead and will post an update to the Forum and FB. In the event that rowing cannot go ahead tomorrow we will have a members only row on Sunday 2nd April at 10.00

Evening all, With summer approaching we are looking at possible club trips both in Ireland and abroad. These trips are dependent on the availability of suitably licensed towers. We are looking to establish the following: 1. Who among the membership holds a B+E driving licence AND is willing to tow the club trailer 2. If you answered yes to the above questions are you willing to tow: A. In Ireland only B. Both in Ireland and abroad If you have the appropriate licence and are willing to tow either home or abroad we would suggest checking with your motor insurer that you are covered under your policy to tow a trailer. Fuel cost for towers on club trips are paid for by the club, funded by a collection taken up from participants on the trip. If you can revert by the 4th April 2023 that would be very much appreciated. Thanks Jim Malone

NO LATER THAN 10TH MARCH 2023 If you are already part of a crew can ONE member of that crew email details of the crew. If the crew already have the use of a privately owned boat but wish to row it under the clubs insurance please indicate the name of the boat in your email. If you are not already part of a crew please indicate in your email and confirm if you have taken part in the race before. After the 10th March we will look at forming crews from those not already in crews and then have a draw for boats. The number of crews we can enter will be limited by the number of boats we have available. We hope to let crews know the boat allocated to them by 17th March 2023. Crews must register for the race themselves but we we would suggest you await confirmation you have be allocated a boat before doing so.

Evening all, Rinceoir and Mainport need to be brought to Meitheal Mara for repairs next week. Mainport needs to be loaded onto the trailer at Paddy's Point and I'm looking for a party of volunteers to travel down immediately after rowing on Saturday. It will take 5 minutes plus travelling time. Ideally we need 8 people. If your available please indicate here. Thanks in advance.
